Community Training Opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

We are looking for volunteers to help train the residents of San José in emergency preparedness. ANYONE over the age of 18 is encouraged to be a part of this exciting team. Bilingual volunteers are also in high demand.

San José Prepared! volunteers help by:    

  • Distributing information on emergency preparedness   
  • Teaching the 20-hours Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) course   
  • Teaching the 1- and 2-hour Emergency Preparedness courses in their community
  • Staffing tables at community events and discussing preparedness to attendees
