The proposed project includes: 1. Planned Development Rezoning from CG General Commercial, CP Commercial Pedestrian, and R-2 Two-Family Residence Zoning Districts to a CP(PD) Commercial Pedestrian, Planned Development Zoning District; and 2. Planned Development Permit to allow a new 6-story mixed-use building consisting of 123 residential units, 13,897-square feet of ground floor retail; and the removal of 6 ordinance sized trees on a 0.92-gross acre site.

The City of San Jose is inviting the public to participant in the General Plan 4-Year review cycle. Six meetings will be held from November 20, 2019 through April 8, 2020. This meeting is regarding the background of the 4-year review process and an overview of Urban Villages.

File No. PP19-080: A proposed ordinance of the City of San José amending various sections of Title 20 (Zoning Ordinance or Zoning Code) of the San José Municipal Code to change provisions for Secondary Units (Accessory Dwelling Units, ADU) to align with new California State Law requirements.
The proposed considerations may include the following:
(a) Propose new Part 4.5 “Accessory Dwelling Units,” and modify ADU provisions for Single-Family Dwelling Units, including new lot size and unit size requirements, allow Junior Accessory Dwelling Units, and allow ADUs in Two-Family/ Multi-Family Dwelling Units
(b) Amend ADU parking requirements
(c) Add clarifying language to Accessory Dwelling Unit definition, and add new definition of Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit.

Planned Development Rezoning from the R-2 Two-Family Residential and CO Commercial Office zoning districts to a CP(PD) Planned Development Zoning District on an approximately 1.39-gross acre site. Planned Development Permit to allow Demolition of three existing buildings totaling approximately 19,000 square feet. Removal of nine non-ordinance sized trees. Construction of a 226-unit mixed-use residential building with an approximately 1,400-square foot ground-floor commercial space.
