    Turn your leaves, yard trimmings and kitchen scraps into a nutrient rich soil amendment. Both green waste and worm composting will be covered.

    Need some compost to get you started? Free compost available to workshop attendees.



    Workshops are brought to you by the Recycling and Waste Reduction Commission of Santa Clara County and the City of San José. Funded by the cities and the County of Santa Clara.

  1. Proposed California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) Transition to Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) Metric, Community Meeting

    The City of San José is implementing a shift to measuring transportation impacts under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) to Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT) in accordance with State law (SB743). VMT would replace the current method of measuring automobile delay, which is done by analyzing “Level of Service” (LOS) at intersections. Please join us to learn more about this important change and how you can be involved.
