Echo Church Spruces Up Edenvale Gardens Regional Park

Community service is a key aspect of Echo Church. The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services' Volunteer Management Unit hosted more than 90 volunteers from Echo Church at Edenvale Gardens Regional Park on Saturday, Oct. 20. The faith-based group spread over 250-pounds of grass seed; added 50-cubic-yards of playground chip to provide a safer play area; assisted with irrigation checks and repairs; cleaned picnic tables and park benches; and trimmed, clipped and raked close to 20 yards of green waste. Their efforts will be enjoyed by park users for months. For more information, contact Justin Long, PRNS Deputy Director, at 408-793-5579.
