ActivateSJ: Hundreds Provide Feedback on the Future of Parks, Recreation and Trails

The Department of Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services is updating its strategic plan, ActivateSJ, to sustain the City’s parks and recreation system, while strengthening the focus on services and the design of parks and public facilities. ActivateSJ consists of five community-inspired guiding principles. In Phase II of outreach, PRNS engaged the community to receive input on the guiding principles – PRNS’s approach to delivering a world-class, sustainable parks and facilities system that enhances quality of life in San José. Proving that the community values PRNS, over 1,400 individuals provided feedback via the tri-lingual online survey, at community meetings and events. For more information, contact Carolina Camarena, Public Information Manager, at 408-793-5519.
