| MEMBERSHIP:
The Envision San Jose 2040 General Plan Update Task
Force was appointed by the City Council in August, 2007 and
will serve for the duration of the General Plan Update process,
approximately four years. The Task Force represents the wide
range of community interests and cultural and ethnic diversity
that make-up San Jose. The Task Force includes community representatives
from each Council District and members representing various
interests in the City including neighborhood, business, environmental,
affordable housing, development, and other community organizations.
DUTIES :The
Task Force is responsible for providing input and direction
on the key policy decisions leading to the development of
the content of the updated General Plan. The Task Force will
review and consider input provided by the general public at
the Public Workshops and through other venues.
RELATIONSHIPS :
The Task Force is advisory to the City Council.
MEETINGS : The
Task Force meets on the fourth Monday evening of the month
from 6:30 – 9:00 p.m. in the Council Wing rooms W118
– 120. Community Workshops are held at key milestones
of the process.
