Household Hazardous Waste

Photo of a paint canThe Issue

Household hazardous waste materials – things like paint, pesticides, automotive fluids, cleaners, and propane tanks – can accumulate in your garage or yard shed. These items can be corrosive, flammable or toxic and be hazardous to you, your family, and the environment.

What You Can Do

You can properly dispose of all household hazardous waste materials for FREE at your local Household Hazardous Waste facility.  Visit the Santa Clara County Household Hazardous Waste Program or call to schedule a FREE drop-off appointment. And, remember to never pour leftover materials down the sink, toilet, or storm drain.
