Recycled Water Liaison Committee

PURPOSE: This 6 member committee was created by request from the Santa Clara Valley Water District Board to the Mayor of San José.  The role of the Committee is to provide a liaison with, and advise, the District Board, City Council, and Treatment Plant Advisory Committee (TPAC) regarding making a long term agreement amongst the parties on the use of recycled water and operations and maintenance of the South Bay Water Recycling system. The goal is to be done in the spring of 2009.        

COMMITTEE MEMBERSHIP:The Committee includes City Council members Pierluigi Oliverio and Kansen Chu, Santa Clara Mayor Patricia Mahan, and District Board members Patrick Kwok, Rosemary Kamei, and Tony Estremera.

AUTHORITY: Council approved committee.

MEETINGS: Monthly on the 3rd Thursday of each month from 9:30-11:30 am.  The location moves month-by-month.

BENEFITS: The members are not compensated by the Committee for their attendance.  The District members may be compensated as part of their normal meeting stipend allowance.

ATTENDANCE: The Committee Members are expected to attend all Committee meetings.
