Look Up Your Collection Day Online

Thumbial of a Hauler TruckSan José’s new online Collection Day Look-up now provides a convenient way to find your garbage, recycling, and yard trimmings collection day, street sweeping schedule, and service provider contact information. Simply enter your street number and zip code into the online form. For residents who are unable to access their schedule online, call the Customer Contact Center at (408) 535-3500.

Drinking Water
The San José Municipal Water System serves four different areas in the City of San José: North San José/Alviso, Evergreen, Edenvale and Coyote—10% of the City's population. Visit the website to view the service map, rates, water quality report and more.

Free energy meters are now available for residents to check out from the West Valley, Alum Rock, and Evergreen libaries in San José.Energy

Silicon Valley Energy Watch and the San José Public Libraries Team Up to Help Santa Clara County Residents Save Energy

Green Building
Green Building is an exciting new program in San José which has been created to encourage and facilitate new construction or remodeling of homes or workplaces into spaces that are healthier for you, your family, and the planet.

The City of San José, the Bay Area Water Supply & Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), and the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) are offering free water efficient landscape education classes. Learn about drought tolerant plants, water efficient irrigation practices, and sustainable landscape techniques. Registration is required. Pollution Prevention for Residents
Water from tubs, toilets and taps inside homes travels through pipes to the San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant where it is treated and then discharged into the San Francisco Bay. Proper disposal of household hazardous waste keeps pollutants out of the sanitary sewer system and protects the health of our communities and the Bay.
