Look Up Your Collection Day Online
San José’s new online Collection Day Look-up now provides a convenient way to find your garbage, recycling, and yard trimmings collection day, street sweeping schedule, and service provider contact information. Simply enter your street number and zip code into the online form. For residents who are unable to access their schedule online, call the Customer Contact Center at (408) 535-3500.

Green Building is an exciting new program in San José which
has been created to encourage and facilitate new construction or
remodeling of homes or workplaces into spaces that are healthier
for you, your family, and the planet.
Landscape Education
The City of San José, the Bay Area Water Supply & Conservation Agency (BAWSCA), and the Santa Clara Valley Water District (SCVWD) are offering free water efficient landscape education classes. Learn about drought tolerant plants, water efficient irrigation practices, and sustainable landscape techniques. Registration is required. Pollution Prevention for Residents
Water from tubs, toilets and taps inside homes travels through pipes to the San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant where it is treated and then discharged into the San Francisco Bay. Proper disposal of household hazardous waste keeps pollutants out of the sanitary sewer system and protects the health of our communities and the Bay.
