The City of San José is opening specific community centers for extended hours to provide relief from the summer heat. High temperatures can be dangerous for the very young and elderly in the community. If you need a place to cool down, the following centers will be open to the public.
*Note - Cooling centers will be open from noon until 8 p.m. on Saturday June 27, and Sunday June 28, 2009

It’s Cool in the Pool!
Celebrate summer at San Jose pools! You can learn to swim, be safe in the water or you can just chill. The City of San Jose has nine pools throughout the city and offers the most affordable swim lessons in the Bay Area. You can register on-line at www.sanjoseca.gov/prns or you can walk-in and register at the following locations.
