Your Guide for Going Green at San José Schools
The San José Go Green Schools Program, a program of the City of San José Environmental Services Department, fosters environmental stewardship at schools. Go Green Schools encourages you to participate in the
Green Star Schools Certification program, so that your classroom, school, or district can get a Green Star and be recognized and celebrated for your environmental actions.
Green Star Schools and its certification program are part of a regional program developed by City of San José Go Green Schools, San Mateo County’s RecycleWorks.org, and Alameda County’s Stopwaste.org. Green Star Schools Certification focuses on environmental stewardship at schools along the “pathways” of waste, water, energy and transportation.
We encourage you to Go Green at whatever level you choose: Use the Green Star Schools Certification program and pathways, or browse this website for inspiration and information.
