JOSEPH ROIS , Program Performance Auditor II
Joe joined the Office of the City Auditor in August 2008. Prior to that, he worked primarily in the nonprofit community. He was the Project Coordinator and Editor for Sustainable San Mateo County’s annual Indicators Report which measured over 30 different environmental, economic, and social indicators, or trends, related to the quality of life of San Mateo County’s residents. He was also coauthor and editor of Sustainable Silicon Valley’s Annual CO2 Report.
Before these projects, Joe worked in both the public and private sector in different policy areas including health care and energy. He also worked as a Certified Public Accountant from 1991 through 1999 in Seattle and Bellevue, Washington.
Joe has a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Gonzaga University and a Master of Public Policy from University of California, Berkeley.
