MICHAEL C. HOUSTON, Program Performance Auditor I

Michael Houston has served as a Program Performance Auditor since January 2008.

Immediately prior to joining the Office of the City Auditor, Michael completed a 16-month Management Fellowship with the City of San José. As a Management Fellow, he performed special projects for the City Manager’s Office and for the Fire, Housing, and General Services Departments. Earlier in his career, Michael held stints at other Bay Area local governments and in the nonprofit sector where he worked in the areas of housing, land use, and community development.


Michael has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Sonoma State University and a Master of Public Policy degree from U.C. Berkeley’s Goldman School of Public Policy.
