ROY CERVANTES, Program Performance Auditor I
Roy has served as a Program Performance Auditor since August 2008. Prior to joining the Office of the City Auditor, Roy worked primarily in education policy. He served as an independent consultant to Jobs for the Future, a national nonprofit research, consulting and advocacy group focusing on creating educational and economic opportunity for those who need it most. He also completed the New York City Urban Fellows program, serving with the Office of Multiple Pathways to Graduation in the Department of Education.
Prior to this work, Roy held other local government and nonprofit positions with the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Housing Authority of the City of Los Angeles and the Community Development Technologies Center.
Roy recently graduated with a Master of Public Policy degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and holds Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Asian American Studies from UCLA. He was also a Public Policy and International Affairs Fellow at UC Berkeley.
