City Hall Holiday Closure

San José, California - San José City Hall will be closed for the holidays beginning Monday, December 24, and will reopen on Wednesday, January 2, 2002. Police and Fire departments, along with other critical City services will continue unaffected by the closure.

During the Christmas holiday, all City libraries will be closed December 23, 24 and 25. Libraries will resume regular hours on December 26. For the New Year's holiday, San José libraries will be closed December 30 and 31, 2001 and January 1, 2002. Regular schedules will resume at all City libraries beginning on January 2.

Certain recreational and cultural events will be held as scheduled. In addition, most community centers will continue to operate during the closure with reduced hours. Residents should check with their local community center for hours of operation during the holidays.

The City's Customer Service Call Center will remain open 24-hours a day, seven days a week, for people seeking information about City services and programs.
