Background: |
The new International Arrivals Facility will replace the current remote modular facility that was placed into operation in 1990. Federal offices that are housed in this new facility includes the following: U.S. Customs, U.S. Public Health Services, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, and U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service. The project cost is $45 million with funding sources primarily from Passenger Facility Charges (PFC) and Airport Rates and Charges. No local taxes were used to fund this project. Offering numerous customer service improvements over the remote trailers which now accommodates the processing of international passengers, the new facility is located in between the two terminals, connected to Terminal A. Upon completion of the future central terminal, this facility will be used as a concourse and business offices. Parking: Media vehicles should park just south of the new International Arrivals Facility in front of the Central Plant facility. |
