Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program Available to
San José Residents

San José, California – In honor of Spay Day USA, designated by the State of California as February 26th, the City of San José invites residents to take advantage of the City’s Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program for cats.  Residents will only pay $5.00 to participating veterinarians for each cat altered.

Each year thousands of healthy animals are euthanized in Santa Clara County because the number of animals born here far exceeds the number of homes available for them.  The staff of Animal Care & Services encourages the community to participate in the spay/neuter program.  Spaying or neutering your animals is one way to demonstrate responsible pet ownership.

For more information on Spay/Neuter Vouchers call the City of San José Spay/Neuter Hotline at (408) 653-1239 or Animal Birth Control Assistance at (408) 245-4949 and ‘Save a Life.’  We have a limited number of Vouchers available so please call us now.
