Statement by San Jose Mayor Ron Gonzales I am profoundly shocked and saddened by the attacks today, and on behalf of the people of San Jose, I share our grief and heartfelt concern for victims and their families, and the affected communities. Here in
San Jose, I encourage all residents to be calm.
We have had no reports at this time regarding any local threats,
and our police and fire units are on heightened alert as a precaution.
We have also activated emergency operations centers at City Hall
and at San Jose International Airport as a precaution and in response to
the FAA shut down of national aviation. At this time we have not closed any public facilities, and we are in close contact with other police and public safety agencies as these national events unfold. #### San
