The Council of the City of San Jose convened in Adjourned Regular Session at 3:20 p.m., for a joint meeting with the Redevelopment Agency in Council Chambers at City Hall.

8f Adoption of resolutions by the City Council and Agency Board authorizing the Executive Director to negotiate and execute:
(1) The fourth amendment to the agreement with CONCUR, Inc., in the amount of $400,000, for a total contract amount not to exceed $860,000, for facilitation services related to negotiation of issues for the Guadalupe River Flood Control Project, and extending the term of the agreement from April 15 through December 31, 1999;
(2) The second amendment to the Cost Sharing Agreement with the City and Santa Clara Valley Water District to provide for shared funding for the CONCUR amendment and authorizing the City Manager to execute all documents.

8g Adoption of resolutions:
(1) By the Agency Board authorizing the Executive Director to:
(a) Negotiate and execute the second amendment to
the lease agreement with Caltrans to reduce the rent and remove the
I-280/Almaden Boulevard lot (Parcel C) from the 20-year Lease; and
(b) Assign the amended lease with Caltrans for the
Route 87/Auzerais Lot (Parcel A) and the Route 87/Woz Way Lot (Parcel B) to the
City of San José; and
(c) Negotiate and execute a new lease with Caltrans for the lot identified as parcel C for three years at a cost of $3,000 per month.
(2) By the City Council authorizing the City Manager to accept the assignment of the amended lease, for parcels A & B.
Documents Filed: Memorandum from Acting City Manager Debra J. Figone, and Executive Director Frank M. Taylor, dated April 14, 1999, recommending the Redevelopment Agency Board and the City Council adopt said resolutions.
Discussion/Action: Upon motion by Vice Mayor Fiscalini, seconded by Council Member Diaz and unanimously carried, Redevelopment Agency Board Resolution No. 4684 authorizing the Executive Director to negotiate and execute the second amendment to the lease agreement with Caltrans, assign the amended lease with Caltrans for the Route 87/Auzerais Lot (Parcel A) and the Route 87/Woz Way Lot (Parcel B) to the City of San José, and to negotiate and execute a new lease with Caltrans for the lot identified as parcel C for three years; and Resolution No. 68840, entitled: “Resolution of the Council of the City of San José Authorizing the City Manager to Accept the Assignment of the Amended Lease With Caltrans for the Route 87/Auzerais Lot and the Route 87/Woz Way Lot”, were adopted. Vote: 11-0-0-0.
