MINUTES OF JOINT SESSION OF THE

CITY COUNCIL AND SAN JOSÉ FINANCING AUTHORITY

 

SAN JOSÉ, CALIFORNIA                                                    TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, 2000

 

The Council of the City of San José convened the San José Financing Authority to consider Item 2 in joint session at 6:16 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall.

 

               Present:      Council Members -  Chavez, Dando, Diquisto, Fiscalini, LeZotte, Powers, Reed, Shirakawa, Jr., Woody; Gonzales.

               Absent:       Council Members -  None.

               Vacant:       District 5.

 

2             Adoption of a resolution of the City of San José Financing Authority stating its intent to issue tax-exempt debt to finance the cost of acquiring and installing parking guidance system, revenue control equipment, parking meter improvements and other parking related capital projects throughout the Parking System and to reimburse expenditures incurred prior to the issuance of the bonds.  (Finance)

 

               Documents filed: Memorandum from Acting Director of Finance, Mark Burton, dated December 12, 2000, recommending adoption of said resolution.

 

               Discussion/Action: Upon motion by Vice Mayor Fiscalini, seconded by Council Member Powers, and unanimously carried, Resolution No. SJFA-47, entitled: “A Resolution of the City of San José Financing Authority Expressing Its Official Intent Regarding Certain Capital Expenditures to be Reimbursed from Proceeds of Tax Exempt Bonds”, was adopted. Vote: 10-0-0-0-1. Vacant: District 5.

 

Adjourn the San José Financing Authority

 

               The San José Financing Authority was adjourned at 6:17 p.m.
