The Council of the City of San Jose convened in Adjourned Regular Session at 4:40 p.m. for a joint meeting with the Redevelopment Agency in Council Chambers at City Hall.
Present: Council Members: Campos, Chavez, Cortese, Dando, Diquisto, LeZotte, Reed, Shirakawa Jr.; Williams, Yeager; Gonzales
Absent: Council Members: None.
Upon motion by Vice Mayor Shirakawa, Jr., seconded by Council Member Chavez, and unanimously carried, the Orders of the Day were approved. Vote: 11-0-0-0.
7.1 Adoption of a resolution by the City Council and Redevelopment Agency Board approving a Cooperation Agreement providing for the transfer of the Agency’s rights, title and interest in 648 Vine Street, a portion of a median strip, to the City and authorizing the City Manager and Executive Director to execute all necessary documents to effect the transfer. CEQA: Resolution No. 68839 (MERGED)
Documents filed: Memorandum from City Manager Del D. Borgsdorf and Redevelopment Executive Director Susan F. Shick, dated May 14, 2002, recommending the adoption of said resolutions.
Discussion/Action: Upon motion by Council Member Chavez, seconded by Council Member Diquisto, and unanimously carried, Resolution No. 70973, entitled: “A Resolution of the Council of the City of San José Approving a Cooperation Agreement providing for the Transfer of the San José Redevelopment Agency’s Rights, Title and Interest in 648 Vine Street, A Portion of a Median Strip, to the City and Authorizing the City Manager to Execute all Necessary Documents to Effect the Transfer”, and Redevelopment Agency Board Resolution No. 5279, were Adopted. Vote: 11-0-0-0.
