The Council of the City of San José convened in adjourned regular session at 7:05 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall to hold a Public Hearing on the Final Proposed Budget Modifi-cations for FY2002-2003.
Present: Council Members - Campos, Chavez, Cortese, Diquisto, LeZotte, Reed, Shirakawa, Jr., Williams, Yeager; Gonzales.
Absent: Council Members - Dando (excused).
11.1 PUBLIC HEARING on the Final Proposed Budget Modifications. (City Manger’s Office)
Documents filed: (1) Mayor’s June Budget Message for FY2002-2003. (2) Corres-pondence from four organizations, requesting funding consideration.
Discussion/Action: The Mayor opened the Public Hearing and the Council accepted testimony from the following 37 individuals regarding specific budget requests, which will be considered by the full City Council at the June 11, 2002 meeting: John Stackley, Mexican Heritage Corporation; Dan Fenton, SJCVB; Elaine Curran, Junior Achievement; Hugo Mora-Torres, The Health Trust; Shirley Lewis, Ezequiel Nevarez, Capitol Goss; Jodi Starbird, Reed School; Chuck Frascone, Palm Haven Neighborhood; Jim Cunneen, Silicon Valley San José Chamber of Commerce; Mark Walker, United Way Silicon Valley, Stanford T.
