SUBJECT: PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDING TITLE 9 OF THE CITY OF SAN JOSE MUNICIPAL COPDE TO RESTRICT THE DISCING OF VEGETATION ON CERTAIN LANDS [ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT & ENVIROMENT COMMITTEE—MAY 7, 2001]

The Department of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement presented a report to the Economic Development & Environment Committee on May 7, 2001 regarding the proposed ordinance amending Title 9 of the City of San Jose Municipal Code to Restrict the Discing of Vegetation on Certain Lands.

Upon motion of Councilmember LeZotte, seconded by Councilmember Cortese, the Committee accepted the staff report with the recommendation that staff present this report to the full Council for action and that staff provide information on additional costs for the creation of firebreaks.
