SUBJECT: ADOPTION OF A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING A DONATION FROM THE FRIENDS OF THE SAN JOSE PUBLIC LIBRARY FOR THE SUMMER READING CLUB IN THE AMOUNT OF $25,000.

RECOMMENDATION

Adoption of a resolution accepting $25,000 in donations to the Library Summer Reading Club.

BACKGROUND

Ordinance No. 21199 requires City Council to accept monetary gifts in excess of $5,000.

A total of $25,000 has been received from the Friends of the San Jose Public Library for the Summer Reading Club, in two checks of $10,000 and $15,000 each.
