DUTIES: The Director of Planning has the final decision-making responsibility for administrative planning permits, and is also the decision maker for a wide range of routine development and land use permits. Actions by the Director of Planning may be appealed generally to the Planning Commission.

RELATIONSHIPS: The Director of Planning has the responsibility for advising the Planning Commission and City Council on amendments to the General Plan, specific plans, rezonings, use permits, and proposals for future physical development.

MEETINGS: The Planning Director’s Hearing is typically scheduled every Wednesday, except the first Wednesday of each month, at 9 A.M. in the Council Chambers.
