SUBJECT:    ADOPTION OF VARIOUS APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AMENDMENTS IN THE SERVICES FOR REDEVELOPMENT CAPITAL PROJECTS FUND (CITY-SIDE REDEVELOPMENT FUND).

 

RECOMMENDATION

 

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the following Appropriation Ordinance and amendments in the Services for Redevelopment Capital Projects Fund (City-side Redevelopment Fund):

 

1.      Increase the appropriation to the Department of Transportation for the Santa Teresa Boulevard Median Island Project by $27,177.

2.      Increase the appropriation to the Public Works Department for the Rincon Pump Station by $118,000.

3.      Increase the appropriation to the Public Works Department for the Fallon Statue Public Art Project by $57,214.

4.      Increase the appropriation to the Public Works Department for the Monterey Pedestrian Streetlight Design Project by $75,680.

5.      Increase the appropriation to the Public Works Department for the Center for Performing Arts Improvements Project by $35,896.

6.      Decrease the Ending Fund Balance by $313,967.

 

BACKGROUND

 

These Redevelopment Agency supported projects have been completed, and as agreed by the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) and the City of San José, excess construction funds

pertaining to RDA supported projects must be returned to the Agency.  By reappropriating this money, the City will be able to return excess construction funds to the RDA.
