SUBJECT: ADOPTION OF APPROPRIATION ORDINANCE AND FUNDING SOURCE RESOLUTION AMENDMENTS INCREASING THE LIBRARY GRANTS APPROPRIATION TO THE LIBRARY DEPARTMENT BY $10,000.

RECOMMENDATION

It is recommended that the City Council adopt the following Appropriation Ordinance amendments in the General Fund:

1. Increase the Library Grants appropriation by $10,000

2. Increase the estimate for Revenue from the State of California by $10,000

BACKGROUND

The City of San Jose received a $10,000 grant from the California Library Services Act (CLSA). The funds received from this grant will be used to catalog a portion of the Children’s Research Collection of historical children’s books making materials more accessible.
