SUBJECT:     PDC01-03-041.   OF THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF CAMDEN AVENUE AND VISTA LOOP, FROM R-1-8 RESIDENCE ZONING DISTRICT TO A(PD) PLANNED DEVELOPMENT ZONING DISTRICT, TO ALLOW UP TO FIVE (5) SINGLE FAMILY DETACHED RESIDENTIAL UNITS ON 0.74 GROSS ACRES.

RECOMMENDATION

 

The Planning Commission voted 6-0-1 (Chun Hoo, abstained) to recommend that the City Council approve the subject rezoning.

 

 

BACKGROUND

 

On November 28, 2001, the Planning Commission held a public hearing to consider a Planned Development  from R-1-8 Residence to A(PD) Planned Development to allow up to five (5) single-family detached residence on 0.74 gross acres.

 

The Director of Planning, Building and Code Enforcement recommended approval of the proposed . 

 

The proposed project was considered as a consent calendar item. There was no discussion by the Planning Commission.  No one from the public spoke in opposition to the project.

 

The Planning Commission then closed the Public Hearing and reviewed and considered the Negative Declaration granted to the project. 

 

PUBLIC OUTREACH

 

Notices of the public hearing and the Draft Mitigated Negative Declaration were distributed to the owners and tenants of all properties located within 500 feet of the project site.  Staff has been available to respond to any questions regarding the project.

 

COORDINATION

 

As standard procedure in the development review process, this project was coordinated with the Department of Public Works, Fire Department, Police Department, Environmental Services Department and the City Attorney.
