a.       Update on Joint Use Agreements with School Districts, including City/School Collaborative (Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services) (Referred from 2/27/03 [Item c] and 3/20/03 [Item e] ACA Committee for further discussion)

 

Upon motion of Chair Yeager, seconded by Vice Chair Chirco, the Committee accepted the report, and agreed to continue discussion and action to the next meeting on May 8, 2003.

 

b.      Report on Library’s Role in Helping Children Achieve (Library)

 

Upon motion of Councilmember Gregory, seconded by Vice Mayor Dando, the Committee accepted the report.

 

c.       Homework Centers Program Status Report (Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services) (Referred from 3/20/03 [Item c] ACA Committee for further discussion)

 

Upon motion of Vice Chair Chirco, seconded by Councilmember Gregory, the Committee accepted the report.

 

d.      Status on the Early Care and Education Master Plan, including efforts with the County Collaborative on Education (Parks, Recreation and Neighborhood Services)

 

Upon motion of Vice Mayor Dando, seconded by Vice Chair Chirco, the Committee accepted the report.

 

e.       Report on Traffic Safety in San Jose, including School Traffic Safety Program (Department of Transportation)

 

Upon motion of Vice Chair Chirco, seconded by Councilmember Gregory, the Committee accepted the report.
