The meeting was convened at 1:34 p.m.    

 

1.         Policy discussion on current City Policies/Programs that provide opportunities to small business (Office of Economic Development)

 

Upon motion by Councilmember Reed, and seconded by Vice-Chair Gregory, the Committee unanimously accepted the staff report.

 

 

2.                  Discussion on how to coordinate (market) WIN within City’s economic recovery strategy (Office of Economic Development, Redevelopment Agency)

 

Upon motion by Councilmember Reed, and seconded by Vice-Chair Gregory, the Committee unanimously accepted the staff report.

 

 

3.                  Mayfair Neighborhood Acquisition/Rehabilitation Pilot Program (Housing)

[Council Referral 09-24-02-4.6]

 

Upon motion by Councilmember Reed, and seconded by Councilmember Chirco, the Committee unanimously accepted the staff report.

 

 

4.                  Homeless Strategy (Housing)

[Deferred to June 23, 2003]

 

Upon motion of Councilmember Reed, seconded by Councilmember Chirco, the Committee accepted staff’s request for deferral, to June 23, 2003.     

 

 

5.         Convention Center Recovery Strategy  (Convention, Arts and Entertainment, Convention Visitors Bureau) [Deferral from 02-24-03 DSE Committee Meeting]

             

            Upon motion by Councilmember Reed, and seconded by Councilmember Chirco, the Committee unanimously accepted the staff report.
