Small Business

The City’s Small Business Ambassador Program provides small business owners with a single point of contact to help successfully prepare for and navigate the development review and permitting process. Involve an Ambassador early, even before signing a lease, to help with site research, fee estimates, and more.

Prior to meeting with the Ambassador, familiarize yourself with the permitting process and some common issues related to opening and operating a business in San Jose by reading the Permit Process Overview.
