Each St. Patrick's Day Councilmember Nancy Pyle and her staff work with the Almaden Seniors and Almaden Community Center staff to put on a St. Patrick's Day Lunch for seniors throughout the District 10 community. On March 15, 2007, Nancy co-sponsored the event with the gernerous assistance of the Association of Retired San Jose Police Officers & Firefighters, who cooked a traditional St. Patrick's Day meal which could have fed a small army. The event, held in the Almaden Community Center's main room, was attended by over 250 senior citizens.
