Below is the list of staff members in the District 10 office and their areas of responsibility.

Lee Wilcox
Chief of Staff


Prior to joining the District 10 office, Lee worked for California State Senator Wes Chesbro, California State Assemblymember Patricia Wiggins and a political consulting firm, and was involved in a number of political campaigns.  Lee earned a BA in Political Science and is Masters' Candidate in Masters Public Policy and Administration. When he is not at work, he can be found on the soccer field or ski slopes.

Policy Areas:  Council Agenda Review, Budget, Labor, Land-Use, Transportation & Traffic Calming, Housing, Energy, Environment, Planning & Building, Media Relations, and State and National Issues

Linda Alexander
Executive Assistant


Linda received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Communicatons Studies from California State University, Sacramento. After Graduation, Linda accepted a position with a Silicon Valley High Tech Company in the contracts Management Department. For ten years her responsibility was to negotiate Government and Commercial Maintenance and Software Licensing contractual agreements with Customers in the Southwest and Central Regions. Prior to joining the District 10 team, Linda spent 5 years in Staffing Management working for a Non Profit Staffing firm in downtown San Jose. Linda actively volunteers in the political arena. She was woman of the year in 2000. In her spare time she is active and volunteers her time in the community, school, Boy Scouts of America (Weeblos II). She has held offices in her Church, Jack & Jill of America and the Graduate Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. Linda enjoys interacting with people. She looks forward to fun times with her family, friends and enjoys creative memory scrapping sessions.

Eric T. Crane
Communications Director


Raised in District 10, Eric knows first hand many of the concerns and interests of local residents. Eric received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of California, Santa Cruz. With a background in communications and strong inter-personal skills developed through previous leadership roles in a variety of San Jose & Santa Cruz campus community organizations, Eric strives to meld creativity, vision, and clarity in his role as Communications Director. In his spare time, Eric enjoys socializing, reading, cooking, and grabbing coffee at Santana Row.

Stephanie Holm
Community Relations/
Policy Aide

 

Stephanie has strong roots in District 10.  She is a graduate of Leland High School who understands the character of the community.  After high school, Stephanie earned a bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law and Society from UC Irvine.  In addition to academic study, Stephanie has worked on numerous campaigns for a public affairs/political consulting firm.  Her interests outside of the office include music, art and surfing.

Kathy Sutherland
Policy Advisor for Economic Development

 

Kathy grew up in Almaden and remembers when the Expressway was a 2 lane road. She has volunteered with San Jose Unified School District, Girl Scouts, the City of San Jose’s Strong Neighborhoods Initiative and the Healthy Neighborhoods Venture Fund.  She has helped non-profits provide community events such as the Grand Opening of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens and Bark in the Park.  Kathy also has worked for several years supporting neighborhood business districts in San Jose.  Kathy and her husband Craig have two grown daughters and a son-in-law.
