Outdoor Adventures:

Here are a few suggestions of what our area has to offer to brighten your day and take you on a completely new adventure.

Quicksilver Park

Known for its unique native wildflowers and its historical mining sites, Quicksilver is a great place for jogging or to simply reconnect with nature. The park is open from sunrise to sunset daily.

Almaden Lake Park

With warm sand, cool water, and a snack shack, Almaden Lake Park is an ideal picnic spot. Many visitors also come to relax and enjoy the recreational fishing and boating along the 32 acre shore or take a hike in the beautiful 65 acre preserve. The park is open from Sunrise to a half hour after sunset daily.

Los Alamitos Creek Trail

This romantic trail is connected to Almaden Lake Park and runs down Camden Ave. It is partly shaded and has many creek-side picnic tables.

GO SKATEBORAD

Did you know California’s largest skate park was right in your own backyard? Lake Cunningham Regional Skate Park is a great place to get on the ramps and test your limits!

Admission for a skate session is only 5$!

If you’re not ready to unleash your awesome moves on the world yet then just come out and watch some great skate competitions instead!

Sports:

San Jose Sharks Hockey

The Sharks are San Jose’s most well known sports team and play regularly at the HP Pavilion.

San Jose’s finest soccer players face off against teams from across the country right here in the heart of San Jose!

This historic relic offers a glimpse into the final years of the wealthy widow Sarah Winchester. In 1884, she began the construction of her 160-room Victorian mansion, a project she continued until her death almost 40 years later. The many abnormalities of the house, including exquisite parquet floors, gold and silver chandeliers, and Tiffany art glass windows, have left visitors mystified and awed by the staggering amount of creativity and expense poured into each detail.

With alternating displays from around the world the San Jose Museum of art is great place to be inspired or just enjoy the creativity of art.

South First Fridays

South First Fridays are hosted by art vendors located on South First Street in Downtown San Jose every first Friday of the month! Come and check out all the artists in San Jose and gain an insight into the minds of many abstract and multicultural artists. The fun starts at 8pm and continues late into the evening.
