The District Two Team

 

District Two has an energetic and informed staff that is here to serve your needs. Each team member specializes in different policy and issue areas in order to assist you and Councilmember Williams. Please contact them if you have any questions or concerns.

Anthony Drummond - Chief of Staff

Anthony assists Councilmember Williams in the following areas: environmental policy/issues (including RecyclePlus!, energy, water, sewers, and street sweeping), transportation and traffic calming policies/issues, including airport issues; and is the liaison to the Silver Leaf Neighborhood Association, and the Blossom Valley Neighborhood Association. Anthony completed his bachelor's degrees in political science and urban land use/planning at San Jose State University.


Andrés Quintero - Community Relations Manager

Andrés Quintero is the Community Relations Manager for Councilmember Williams. His areas of focus are: public safety, economic development, working with the various neighborhood associations, schools, youth and community centers as well as coordinating the newsletter and website. Andrés is a recent graduate of San José State University where he completed his B.A. in Political Science with a minor in Public Administration & Public Policy. Andrés is currently a graduate student in the Master of Public Administration program at SJSU.

Prior to joining the District 2 team, Andrés interned with Congresswoman Lofgren as well as the U.S. District Court, Northern District of California. Andrés is also a graduate of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus' Leadership Institute.


Daniel Erwin - Communications and Public Affairs

Dan is the media and communications advisor for Councilmember Williams. He is charged with directing all communications and organizing media requests within the office. Dan first joined the team as an intern in March of 2005 while still in College. He graduated from Santa Clara University in 2006 with a degree in Political Science and International Studies and spent the last year working in Rome for an American University and an Italian law firm. He is happy to be back in San Jose and working with District 2 again!


Italia Le Donne - Administrative Assistant

Italia is Councilmember Williams' administrative assistant, she handles all scheduling issuing and meeting requests.


Karen Phangureh Part-Time Council Assistant

Karen is a resident of District 2 and works part-time Council Assistant managing constituent concerns, the Arts Commission and land use and transportation research. She is currently in her final year at San Jose State University where she is studying Political Science with an emphasis in Public Policy and Business.

Prior to joining the District 2 staff, Karen completed an internship in the office of Councilmember Sam Liccardo where she gained a great deal of valuable experience.
