Take a survey and help shape the future of San José
San José is seeking input from residents and businesses to help guide growth and development in the city over the next 30 years. The Planning Division
of the City of San José is using an innovative new tool called Wikiplanning to reach out to our residents and businesses to provide important information and solicit feedback. This online forum holds the promise of broader participation and community engagement. It allows residents to log on from any computer, whenever it is convenient for them, and provide feedback by completing surveys, posting or commenting on photos, or responding to questions on the message board.
Planning staff will use the information to help guide the Envision San Jose 2040 General Plan Update, the long-range plan for where and how San Jose will grow in the future. The Plan identifies locations for jobs, housing, stores, shops, parks, open space and other community facilities, and guides infrastructure development and policies that help the City plan for the delivery of important City services.
Taking the survey is easy and only takes about 10 minutes.
To log on and take the survey, follow these simple steps:
- Visit www.wikiplanning.org
- Enter your e-mail address
- Enter the password: 2040
When you complete the online survey, you will automatically be entered into a drawing for tickets and packages from local cultural and entertainment organizations.
All residents and businesses are encouraged to take the survey and to share this information and link with family, friends, or anyone else who may be interested in helping to shape
the future of
San José.
Thank you in advance for your time used to share your thoughts about the future of our community.
