Councilmember Pierluigi Oliverio was born in San Jose to immigrant parents from Italy.
Councilmember Oliverio graduated from Booksin Elementary, Hoover Middle School and Willow Glen High School in the San Jose Unified School District public school system. He chose San Jose State University to complete his BA and Teaching Credential.
Councilmember Oliverio has 15 years of High Tech experience within the semiconductor and software industries.
He is a homeowner in District 6 and a parishioner of St. Christopher’s Church. Prior to being elected to the San Jose City Council, he traveled to 45 countries.
