Exciting additions have been made to the Trail Program Web Site, there you can find;
- The Trails Interactive Map allows visitors to find the individual trail systems with links to photos and system maps.
- The Future Trail Network map helps the community understand what the 100-mile trail system will look like at build out.
- The San Jose Bikeways Map (produced by the City's Department of Transportation) helps users plan commutes and recreational trips by seeing the linkage between the on-street bikeways and the off-street trails.
- Individual System Maps for most open trails are available by clicking on the highlighted trails on the Interactive Map. This is one of the top requests from the community, and I hope that you'll find this on-line resource helpful in responding to requests. The maps have been formatted so that users can print a copy and take it with them on their hike .
- Photos of most open trail systems are provided.
- The Positive Trail Impacts report is a compilation of data from many studies across the country that document how trails can enhance our communities.
- The Annual Trail Report for fiscal year 05/06 has been posted in two formats; high resolution for printing and low resolution for quicker downloads. A hard copy of this report was delivered to your office in early July. Annual Trail Reports from past years (03/04 and 04/05) are available so that residents can see the progress made in developing the trail system network.
