I have had the honor of representing District 9 residents since 2003. District 9 is made up of wonderful neighborhoods and numerous small businesses, all of which I am proud to speak for on City Council. My vision for our district is to focus on quality of life issues such as parks, community centers, libraries and the fire stations in our neighborhoods. It is exciting to participate with our community to achieve our goals, and to realize our collective vision for District 9.

District 9 Residents making valuable contributions through service on City Boards and Commissions
The City of San Jose values input from its residents. City boards and commissions were established for the purpose of advising the City Council and providing ongoing participation into policies and issues affecting the future of the San José community. I appreciate all the residents of San Jose who volunteer to serve on City Boards and Commissions. Currently District 9 has nineteen individuals serving on seventeen of the 30 commissions.
