Tales from the Commute
The Santa Clara County Spare the Air Resource Team is conducting a survey of Bay Area commuters in order to learn how commuters use (or don't use) commute time. They're hoping to gather data and stories about how using alternatives to solo driving - public transit, carpool, vanpool, bicycling and walking - improve the employee's overall quality of life. To participate in the survey please click here: www.surveymonkey.com/s/TalesFromTheCommute
Illegal Signs
Recently there has been an increase in the amount of illegal signs posted at intersections and along sidewalks in District 9. Signs are considered illegal if they are posted on street signs, lights, utility poles, and other places in the public right of way without a permit, like a yard sale or lost pet sign. These signs have become a concern because they distract drivers, damage city infrastructure, and litter the streets when they detach from poles. In order to help keep these signs off of the public right of way, please do your part by removing signs in your neighborhood and report businesses that continue to post illegal signs to (408) 535-7770.
