Kimberly Oliver is a lifelong resident of San José and has worked for the City of San José for the past five years, spending the last two and half working in the Office of Mayor Chuck Reed. She will be handling office administration, scheduling, community outreach grants, constituent services and database management.
Peter Hamilton – Senior Policy Aide
Peter Hamilton had worked for Vice Mayor Judy Chirco for the past three and a half years. A native San Jose resident, he graduated from Brown University in 2006. He will be continuing on in the District 9 office and working on land use, budget issues, and a range of other matters.
Ann Grabowski – Policy Aide
Ann Grabowski was raised in the San Joaquin Valley and moved to San Jose to pursue her undergraduate degree from San Jose State University. After graduating with a degree in Behavioral Science and Sociology, with a minor in Public Administration and Policy, Ann coordinated county-wide Project Homeless Connect events on behalf of the City Housing Department. Having been raised in an impoverished and sprawled community, the policy areas that interest Ann are women’s rights and issues, criminal justice and foster care discharge planning, education, and transportation.
She will be the staff member following neighborhood groups, transportation and environment, faith based initiatives, as well as the following commissions and committees: Human Rights Commission, Housing and Community Development Commission, Neighborhood Action Commission, Airport Commission, Transportation and Environment Committee, Association of Bay Area Government, Santa Clara Valley Water District, San Jose/Santa Clara Clean Water Financing Authority, Valley Transportation Authority, Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, and the Healthy Neighborhoods Venture Fund.
Brady Ruebusch– Policy Aide
Brady Ruebusch was born and raised in the City of Mountain View and attended High School in the City of San Jose. He received his undergraduate degrees from University of California, San Diego and most recently received his Masters of Arts in Urban Planning from UCLA in June. His work experience includes long-term planning, redevelopment, and economic development. Due to his planning background, Brady is very interested in the issues pertaining to redevelopment, economic development, and regional solutions to local concerns.
He will be the staff member following committees and commissions: Community and Economy Development Committee, San Jose Redevelopment Agency, Citizens Corps Council, Early Care and Education Commission, Disability Advisory Commission, Advisory Commission on Rents, Small Business Development Commission, Downtown Parking Board, Appeals Hearing Board, San Jose Sports Authority, and regional, statewide, and nationwide cities associations.
Marisa Melo – Policy Aide
Marisa Melo emigrated from Portugal at three and a half years old, and has resided in the City of San Jose since. She studied Political Science at San Jose State University, worked on local campaigns, and has always wanted to pursue a career in the public sector. She enjoys working with the community and is very passionate about education.
She will be the staff member following Education, Health, Code Enforcement, Public Safety, San Jose BEST, Weed & Seed Program as well as the following committees and commissions: Youth Commission, Senior Commission, Parks and Recreation Commission, Library Commission, Arts Commission, Mayor’s Gang Prevention Task Force, Libraries, Parks, Community Centers, After-School Programs, Homework Centers, Schools-City Collaborative, and La Raza Roundtable.
