POLICE DATA SPECIALIST II (PART TIME) (1184)

CLASS PURPOSE

   Under general supervision, performs specialized technical work utilizing automated law enforcement systems, including complex data input and retrieval processes requiring extreme accuracy. Performs related work as required.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS

  Incumbents of this class are responsible for accurately processing varied police reports and identification information, utilizing a full range of specialized automated and manual information systems. The focus of this class is to provide technical information, which requires extensive training in specialized computer systems. This class differs from Police Data Specialist I in that incumbents of the latter class perform in a learning capacity. This class differs from that of Police Specialist Supervisor in that the latter is responsible for all functions and supervision of staff on an assigned shift.

Training And Experience

   Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of high school and one (1) year of experience in which the major assignment was the entry and retrieval of law enforcement data and identification information through a full range of automated police information systems.
