CLASS PURPOSE
   Under general supervision, is responsible for work of moderate difficulty in the supervision of a relatively large group of facility attendant personnel in preparing for a variety of events, productions, and presentations. Performs related work as required.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESULTS (Any one position may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties which may be performed.)

• Works closely with Event Support Services Supervisor to:
• Review calendar of events and prepare work schedule for attendant personnel.
• Prepare schedule of routine maintenance to be performed at assigned facilities.
• Control inventories of materials needed in custodial and facilities set-up sections.
• Supervise the operation of stage equipment.
• Operate heating and ventilating system.
• Inspect facility before each event to assure equipment is in proper working condition and facility is clean and ready for use.
• Complete work order forms and process to proper sources to obtain needed repairs.
• Complete and process requisition forms.
• May be required to perform shift work.

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
   An incumbent of this class has charge of all set-up, custodial, and minor maintenance work to be accomplished by Facility Attendant personnel. This class differs from that of Event Support Services Supervisor in that the latter is responsible for all attendant personnel scheduled on a daily basis and the oversight of all set-up, custodial and minor maintenance of all of the facilities. This class differs from that of Senior Facility Attendant in that the Crew Supervisor is responsible for overall supervision of all Facility Attendant personnel scheduled within a specific shift in the absence of the Event Support Services Supervisor, and the Senior Facility Attendant is responsible for lead participation with a relatively small number of facility personnel.

QUALIFICATIONS
   Minimum Knowledges, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of sound and lighting systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of supervisory techniques.
• Knowledge of safety codes, practices, and precautions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work from sketches, arrangement charts, and written set-up specifications.
• Ability to set priorities for work completion.
• Ability to determine manpower and equipment needed for set-up of events, exhibits, and productions.
• Ability to write reports, complete requisitions, and work order forms.
• Ability to interact effectively with other City department personnel, outside contractors, event promoters, staff at all levels, and the public.
• Ability to work various shifts which may include weekends, holidays, swing and graveyard shifts.

• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

   Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of high school and four (4) years of experience in a variety of custodial, set-up, and minor maintenance work in preparing for events at a large cultural, convention, or entertainment facility.
