CLASS PURPOSE
   Positions in this class are responsible for professional analytical work in a variety of analytical assignments at the Office of the Independent Police Auditor (IPA), providing analysis, development, implementation, and evaluation of the citizen complaint process and administration, and are responsible for community outreach. Performs related work as required.

TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESULTS (Any one position may not include all the duties listed, nor do the examples cover all the duties which may be performed.)

DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
   Police Data Analyst I is the entry level class that performs the more routine analytic work, where supervision and training are given in detail. Police Data Analyst II is the experienced level in data analytic work where the incumbent can independently perform professional analytic work of considerable difficulty.

QUALIFICATIONS

Competency Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Training and Experience
   Any combination of training and experience equivalent to completion of a Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in the business or public administration, or closely related fields.
