Movimiento Cosmico
Movimiento Cosmico is well known in the San José region for their Aztec dancers. The group performs indigenous dance and culture and provides dance and drumming classes free of charge in the downtown San José area. “Xitontequiza, or cosmic movement, is a traditional form of Aztec dance that details the natural movements of the elements, planets and stars.”

Lincoln High School Mariachi
Lincoln High School's Mariachi group is made up of talented students, ages 14-18. Under the direction of Kate Meyer, Jose Ballin, and Catarino Ballin, the group has performed at many events in San José.  Lincoln High School is located in the Rose Garden neighborhood and is a performing arts school.

Nguyen Dance Company
Nguyen Dance Company promotes “contemporary expressions of U.S. American culture, highlighting the Asian-American experience through dance and the performing arts.” This professional company of dancers and musicians has a wide array of dances -- traditional and modern -- in its repertoire. See them perform traditional Vietnamese and Cambodian dances at Earth Day at City Hall.

The Mumlers
The Mercury news called the Mumlers “one of San José’s most talked-about bands” (2/13/08).  The band released its first full-length album, “Thickets and Stitches,” in February. The band’s founder, Will Sprott, is a San José native.  Come see what the excitement is about!
