How Do I Get a Job in Environmental Services?
The Environmental Services Department hires all Civil Service positions through the City's Human Resources Department. Interested applicants may search for job openings in several different ways:
- on the Internet site at www.sanjoseca.gov/HumanResources/ (bookmark
this address for future reference)
- on the Jobs Hotline at (408) 535-6800 to hear a recording
- visit City Hall at 200 East Santa Clara Street, 2nd floor of the Wing, where listings of current opportunities are displayed, and applications may be submitted online at computers in the Human Resources lobby.
Student Intern Opportunities
Students in accredited colleges and universities may also qualify for paid Student Intern opportunities. These selections are made on an as-needed basis, and duties change frequently as the requirements of the department may dictate. At this time, student employment opportunities with Environmental Services Department are very limited due to the current budget climate.
