Silicon Valley Energy Watch, Pacific Gas and Electric Company and the City of San Jose logos

The City of San José, Pacific Gas & Electric Company, and Ecology Action have joined forces through Silicon Valley Energy Watch (SVEW) to help Santa Clara County take advantage of cost-saving, energy-efficient technologies.  The program offers free energy audits, targeted retrofits, technical assistance, education, training, and more.  Target audiences include municipal governments, non profits, small businesses, community organizations, professionals, and residents.  We will connect eligible customers to the broad range of audits, rebates, and technical support available to help you save energy and save money.  For more information, please call (408) 975-2531.

This program is funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC).

This workshop was designed for affordable housing developers, builders, and managers, leaders, and outreach workers from nonprofit organizations serving the low income community. Attendees have learned about the valuable resources available for nonprofit buildings and affordable housing developments. Knowledgeable program representatives have discussed their programs, as well as methods to maximize funding while taking advantage of these options.

Scholarship Opportunity
Educators who attended the City of San José sponsored Solar Schoolhouse workshop in December and for those who attended the May 9th workshop will be eligible to apply for two scholarships for attendance at the Solar Schoolhouse Summer Institute for Educators at Walker Creek Ranch in Petaluma, California on July 12-17, 2009.
