Slow the Flow

Our free Slow the Flow Program is conducted at the Don Edwards San Francisco Bay National Wildlife Refuge in Alviso. Water Awareness Program

A popular program offered to 5th through 7th graders. City of San José Park Rangers visit the classroom and conduct fun and exciting activities focused on preventing pollution to our neighborhood creeks. Contact Jane Lawson at the Ranger office at 408-277-5130 or 408-997-2035 (fax) for scheduling.

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle

The City of San José’s Recycle Plus Program encourages San José teachers to take field trips or invite guest speakers to the classroom to learn how recyclables and yard trimmings are processed after they are collected at curbside. For more information, visit these hauler websites.

Educational Resource Directory

The Santa Clara County Office of Education Library Services Division maintains an online Educational Resource Directory where you can search for resources by type, such as field trip or classroom presentation. Search results produce a listing that includes subject area, grade level, contact and scheduling information for each resource.
