Changes to Local Industrial Discharge Limits
and Sewer Use Ordinance Changes
The San Jose/Santa Clara Water Pollution Control Plant
is recommending changes to the Industrial Local Limits and Sewer
Use Ordinance that may affect San José businesses or organizations.
The proposed changes to the Local Industrial Discharge Limits
are the result of a technical evaluation conducted in 2005-2006.
U.S EPA and the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control
Board accepted the technical report in June 2007.
The following table
summarizes the proposed changes to the local limits:

* The City proposes that facilities discharging less than
1000 gallons per day would continue to be required to meet
the current maximum allowable concentration limit of 2.7 mg/l
for copper and 2.6 mg/l for nickel. |
