San José City Hall is extremely versatile and can accommodate a wide range of events. Organizations or individuals may reserve our glass Rotunda, a public gallery space stretching 110 feet high. Frequent types of events include receptions, weddings, and banquets; lectures and presentations. In the wing of the building are the Council Chambers and a series of Committee Rooms that can be used.
There are three outdoor areas of the Plaza that may be reserved: the West Plaza and East Plaza on the sides of the Rotunda, and the Bamboo Courtyard. The Bamboo Courtyard features a beautiful section of Henon Black Bamboo, and a number of permanent picnic tables.
